Wels catfish night fishing
Nighttime intentional wels catfish fishing is strictly prohibited.
If you accidentally catch a wels catfish at night, keeping it in captivity is forbidden.
Buoy fishing
Buoy fishing is strictly prohibited in all rivers of the Rhône department. Moreover, this fishing technique is dangerous for ship navigation.
Maximum length limit
In the Lyon city crossing on Rhône river, on the "lac des Eaux Bleues" in Miribel-Jonage park and Colombier lake, wels catfishs must be released beyond 170 cm (66,9 inches)
Abandon of wels catfish carcasses : STOP !
- Offences punished by a 3750€ fine (L228-5 article from the rural code and sea fishing)
- Disastrous image (and smell !) send to public
